I wanted to touch base with everyone on the latest update on COVID-19 and how it is affecting, Tralo, our drivers, and our customers. As of right now there have been 12 states that have issued some sort of stay at home order. As most of you know these orders do not include transportation/logistics, and anything that is deemed to be essential to life.

Tralo has been working really hard at keeping all of our drivers working. We ask that you please be patient with dispatch and office staff and they work on keeping your truck moving. Some of us are working remotely while some are still in the office. We are doing the best that we can in these times.

It would help us tremendously, if everyone would be a little more flexible in the type of freight they haul and the areas they travel. Fortunately for us, a lot of our customers freight includes food grade products that are considered to be essential to life. Because of some of the state and individual shutdowns, we are seeing a lot of freight that we haven’t taken in the past. Going to areas we might not go to all the time. We ask that you are flexible in taking this freight.

Whether its staying out a weekend you might normally be home, going to OH or TX when you typically stay in MN/WI, or even pulling a van vs a flatbed, we could use your help. If there is anything you are willing to do please let your dispatch know. If your dispatcher happens to ask you to take something you normally don’t, please don’t be offended. We are just trying to make the best out of these times.

I am confident in our drivers and know that everyone will step up and do what they can do to help.

Remember to stay safe and healthy. Wash your hands frequently and stay home if you are not feeling well.

As always, let us know if there is anything we can do for you.
